Alyssa- We are so happy your here!

We left the hospital on Saturday and had plenty of visitors over the weekend- grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins.  On Sunday we relaxed and hung out for the first time as a family of 4!

Alyssa made her way into the world this morning at 8:49am.  She is 6lbs 13oz, has a lot of dark hair and is 19 inches long.  We are all doing well in recovery.
We had lots of family visit today which was awesome!  Shay met her little sister for the first time and was very proud of her for the first 5 minutes, then the puzzle that she was given from her new sister was more interesting.

Are we ready?

Tomorrow is the day Shay will become a big sister!  Brett and I are heading to the hospital tomorrow morning-- ready or not.  We hope to post (tomorrow) as soon as we can about our newest arrival :)

Our family has a lot in common with the Bliss Family
- Catharine and I had the same job for 2 years
- We both moved from SE Roch to NE Rochester within a couple of months (each time within long walking distance, or very short driving)
- Both families welcomed first children Spring 08
- Ready to welcome #2 babies this spring/summer

Duluth Trip!

We were fortunate to be able to take a mini spring break vacation to Duluth with a great bunch of friends this past week.  Although I would not consider the vacation relaxing with 4 little ones and two pregnant people, it was definitely fun.  We went on a few nature hikes, toured canal park, tried out the hotel water park, went to a couple of parks and also attempted to eat several meals out!
One of the highlights of the trip was meeting -- Cullen Steven Burns-- the newest addition to the Burns Family!  Congratulations Elicia, Shawn and big brother Breck!
