First Time in the Paper

Grandpa Mark and Grandma Stacy took the girls to a farm last Saturday.  They got to meet and pet several farm animals and have a tasty lunch.  The New Richmond paper photographer was there, and the picture was published yesterday.

Trial Day at Caryline's

Go Lyssa!

We are so happy (and a bit lucky) that Lyssa is able to join Shay at Miss Caryline's house this year.  Caryline runs a full preschool program (she was a formal preschool teacher) and usually takes kids over the age of 3.  We had our first trial day this week at it went okay.  Drop off went surprisingly well, and Lyssa and Shay played together most of the time they were there.  Lyssa was touch and go with getting upset, but overall enjoyed her time.  Brett picked them up after lunch and they both were a bit tired from playing outside most of the morning!

Parke Family Visit

One night the females in extended Parke family headed out for a night on the town.  First up what an authentic chinese restaurant followed by our annual trip to showboat (pics below).  While our Maryland, DC and Philidelphian family were here we also went the Art Museum, had a big family potluck that included hiring a photographer and had a cousin happy hour.  Great to see you June, Aila and Hannah!

We headed up to Amie's family cabin for a weekend of relaxation.  Shay and Lyssa enjoyed hanging out on the sand beach, Eli liked his first boat ride and the adults had a good time chatting and watching the olympics.  The weather was gorgeous and we are excited to go back again next year.
