More Lake Time!

We took a vacation with the Burns family and headed to Bill and Gingers house (on Lake Zumbro)-- what a fun time! Like the previous weeks, we enjoyed a lot of skiing, swimming, playing wii sport games, campfires, card playing, delicious food, and just hanging out with great company! Thank you Burns and Carrolls!

While Brett and I enjoyed some great alone time with Shawn and Elicia, Grandpa and Grandma Sturm watched Shay for the weekend. She told us she had a blast playing outside, swinging and going down the slide by herself-- and that she is lucky has the best grandparents ever (all 5)!

We headed to Park Rapids to have fun at the lake with Brett's family. Shay and Cousin Olive had a blast together hanging out, and so did their parents! We were able to ski, swim, enjoy nightly campfires and great food.

Shay and Patrick had a fun time playing together (okay not so much "together", but they were at least within 20 or 30 feet of each other for most of the night). We went to the little kids park which has a ton of small playground stuff (small slides, baby swings, trains and cars attached to the ground, etc.) Its funny, I never knew there was even such a thing as little kid park-- I thought most playgrounds were the same-- go figure. Anyways, Catharine, myself, Patrick and Shay came back to our house after the park for some pictures and so Catharine and I could somewhat talk while chasing kids.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

My dad's mom turned 85 on July 2nd (my aunt Marylou also celebrated her bday) and our whole extended family was able to celebrate with her on Sunday at my parents house. There was plenty of good conversation, cake, badminton, babies, visiting and food! The weather was gorgeous and we were able to spend most of the afternoon and early evening outside enjoying both the weather and company. Happy Birthday Grandma!

Brett, Shay and I enjoyed our long weekend together. Friday we spent the morning waterskiing at grandpa's and doing plenty of errands. Saturday we went over to our friends, the Kurtz's for a BBQ before the fireworks. Shay and I tried to represent the holiday in our color choices!
