A Lunch Out

Brett, Shay and Alyssa picked me up today and we all headed out to lunch.  Perkins was the spot chosen and it was a big hit since they had french toast with tons of fruit and whip cream!

When our new house is done (hopefully in October) we will be moving into walking distance to Olive, Millie and Baby #3's house.  This will be the first time ever, the girls get to live by each other.  Hopefully they will enjoy times at the park, riding on the school bus, bbq's or family get togethers without pulling each others hair or fighting about sharing too much :)

Are we related?

We have been asked more than once recently if the girls really do look a lot a like, or if Shay had a different look when she was younger.  What do you think? Here a few pictures of each of our girls around 15 months.

Welcome Eli Emmerson!

Our friends (and my college roommate) Amie and Pete welcomed their first child, Eli in the beginning of July.  We were all anxiously awaiting his arrival, and he made us wait a bit- he was supposed to be born the 3rd week of June!  Either way, we are glad he is here and can't wait to see him grow. 

Family Vacation at the Lake

Usually the extended Carroll family rents a cabin up north or in the Hayward area, but this year we all gathered at Papa Bill's and Grandma Ginger's place.  It sure worked well for us since we already lived there!  Our week was filled with waterskiing, swimming, tubing, pontooning, grilling, singing (the girls put on a concert or two) and lots of fun!

Retirement!

My Aunt Marylou and her friend Kathy both retired this past month!  Congratulations!  Our family got together to celebrate this achievement.  It was a gorgeous day and we all enjoyed ourselves.
